Igne Becomes a Living Wage Employer
At Igne, we’re pleased to announce a significant milestone in our commitment to our employees and the communities within which we work; we have become accredited as a real Living Wage Employer.
This achievement underscores our assertion to ensuring all our employees receive fair compensation for their hard work and dedication.
The real Living Wage is a voluntary higher rate of base pay. It’s a benchmark for responsible employers who want to pay their employees a rate that meets the basic cost of living in the UK and London.
It is higher than the government's National Minimum Wage rates, including the minimum wage rate for over-21s (called the National Living Wage) because it is independently calculated according to the cost of living.
Simply put, becoming a Living Wage Employer means we pay all employees a wage that is at least enough to cover the basic cost of living.
We believe that every member of our team deserves to earn a salary that allows them to thrive, both inside and outside the workplace. And we remain committed to supporting all staff with fair remuneration and opportunities to grow within our company.
We would like to extend our thanks to Sharon Hemingway, our Head of HR, for making this possible. Sharon's leadership and commitment to all our employees have been instrumental in achieving this milestone, and we are incredibly grateful for her hard work and for that of her team.
For our staff, we hope this means more than just a pay check. We want to give our people peace of mind, knowing that they are being fairly compensated and truly valued for their contributions.
We hope this brings stability, allowing all our people to focus on their work without worrying about making ends meet. And we hope it means recognition too, as our employees – our colleagues – are valued members of our team who deserve to be treated with dignity and respect.
At Igne, we have always believed that our employees are our most valuable asset, and becoming a Living Wage Employer is just one example of how we are committed to creating a positive and supportive work environment for everyone.
We offer a range of benefits, including flexible working arrangements, professional development opportunities, and a vibrant company culture.
We are proud to say that Igne is not just a great place to work – it's an excellent place to build a career and thrive. Thank you to all our employees for their hard work and dedication, and here's to a bright future together.
If you would like to join our team, we are recruiting for multiple positions across all offices and business units and welcome your application. We are a Disability Confident Committed employer and we pride ourselves on our diversity and inclusion commitments.
