Business Development Executive
A Business Development Executive opportunity has arisen to support our Business Development Director. This role can be based at any of our office locations across the UK and will be required to travel to other office locations as and when required.
You will be responsible for assisting in sales development, building solid sales pipelines focusing on profitable recurring revenues with identified key accounts, working closely with key stakeholders to drive the organic growth of the business in line with budgeted goals focusing on the business’ key areas of: UXO, Labs, Site Investigation and Water/Geothermal Boreholes within the pre-construction market.
Responsibilities and Activities:
· Supporting work winning by managing the knowledge and data required for proposals and bids, case studies, customer experience, references and a library of standard and technical responses, to procurement exercises
· To promote our brand by proactively seeking out opportunities to attend, exhibit and speak at conferences, attend workshops, contribute to journal articles etc., ensuring that objectives are clear and outputs assessed.
· To plan, prepare and assist in the running of events attended
· Assist in the management of the customer relationship management (CRM) database
· Supporting the delivery, planning, collation of information and reporting of Igne’s social value proposition
· Work with the BU leaders and finance team to produce sales forecasts and budgets on a monthly basis.
· To assist with ensuring sales and financial agreed goals are achieved
· To assist in new business exploration, business strategy development and delivery of commercial activities to ensure that sales revenue is maximised
· To create awareness of our services/solutions to develop broader business opportunities
· To support the development of effective and long-term customer relationships so that needs can be anticipated and delivered ahead of competitors
· To identify and review market trends and to feed this information to the Business Development Director on a regular basis
· Develop, maintain and leverage collaborative internal (including cross-functional) and external networks/relationships to drive effective business outcomes at all times
· Championing the core values in all activities and interactions undertaken
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
Essential
Exceptional communication and presentation skills with confidence in liaising with customers/stakeholders at all levels.
Experience of delivery, resourcefulness and tenacity, working on both long-term and short-term objectives.
Analytical skills.
Desirable
Ideally candidates will have experience in the UK pre-construction market as well as experience in business development planning.
Experience in managing technical proposals, quotes or similar types of documents.
Proven ability to work with sales & commercial personnel in a matrix organisation structure.
Full driver licence (travel is a requirement).
Qualifications:
Marketing, bid management or similar professional qualification would be desirable.
