From BACTEC to Igne
Did you know that Igne’s unexploded ordnance (UXO) business unit is the natural evolution of Britain’s longest-established commercial UXO company - BACTEC?
Founded as BACTEC in 1991, the business has been a pioneer in UXO risk mitigation and clearance for decades. Over time, it has operated under several names including Dynasafe BACTEC and SafeLane Global but throughout every stage, the team, the technical expertise, and the dedication to excellence have remained constant.
Now, that team operates as one: Igne.
This evolution was never just a rebrand, it’s always been a move forward. As Igne, the UXO department is now part of a wider group that offers a full suite of integrated ground investigation and risk mitigation services.
Our leadership, core personnel, and field experts remain the same - and in many cases, have grown with the business for more than a decade.
Lucie Tiverrier, now Director of UXO, joined the business in 2012 as a Business Development Officer and has helped shape the UK’s UXO sector from the inside out. Jordan Dadson, Commercial Manager, started in sales and now leads on commercial delivery. His partner in life and work, Emily Dadson, who began as a researcher, now leads Igne’s Research Team - the most experienced in the industry.
Their progression reflects the values of the business: loyalty, depth of knowledge, and capability built on over time.
Crucially, Igne employs more ex-Forces explosive ordnance disposal (EOD) engineers than any other UXO contractor in the UK. Their knowledge, discipline, and technical excellence continue to define what makes Igne a trusted leader.
For our clients, nothing has changed - except the name. The strength, skill and safety record you’ve always known remain in place, now under the Igne banner. If you’re searching for BACTEC, Dynasafe, or SafeLane UXO - you’ve found us. We’ve simply evolved.
Igne. A legacy of expertise. A future of integration.
